The Mémoire des Princes Angevins association and its journal, bearing the same name, were created at the end of the 1990s under the direction of Noël-Yves Tonnerre, who has been its president until 2016. The goal was clearly defined from the beginning: «to create a link between all those who are interested in the history and heritage of the Angevin princes of the end of the Middle Ages». Because of the geography of the Angevins territories, an international dimension has gathered together researchers from France, Italy, Hungary, Germany, Canada. In this regard, the ten issues on paper (which have recently been digitized and distributed online) provide various important scientific contributions on several topics, such as history and history of art, but also archaeology and literature. Because of the costs of publishing and broadcasting a paper journal, we made the choice, beginning in 2017, to dematerialize our review, which is now available online, at the rate of one issue per year.
